Baking has pretty much always been part of our family story. Our grandparents were the real pros — making cakes, jams, and pickles at home long before it was trendy, and even supplying mustards and jams to Modern Bazaar back in the 80s. La Artisan Bakery is our way of keeping that legacy alive. We’re a tiny micro-bakery, which means we keep things small, simple, and intentional. Our menu stays focused on the classics we’re known for: artisan sourdough, whole wheat sandwich loaves, eggless New York-style cookies, and our fudgy brownie loaves. Every now and then, we bring back nostalgic favourites like cream buns, éclairs, bomboloni, cinnamon rolls, and babka — the comforting treats so many of us grew up loving.
Our whole approach is pretty straightforward: bring back the classics, bake with heart, and stay honest with our ingredients. We’re a small, women-owned bakery that genuinely loves what we do, and we pour that love into every batch.
